The IARC Caribbean Hub for Cancer Registration was inaugurated in June 2018. Based at the Caribbean Public Health Agency in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago, the Hub aims to build capacity for cancer registration in all independent countries and territories located in the Caribbean basin (southeast of the Gulf of Mexico, east of Central America and Mexico, and north of South America) and Guyana and Suriname in South America.

The Hub covers the following countries and territories: Anguilla, Antigua and Barbuda, Aruba, Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Bermuda, British Virgin Islands, Caribbean Netherlands (Bonaire, Sint Eustatius, and Saba), Cayman Islands, Curaçao, Dominica, Dominican Republic, French Guiana, Grenada, Guadeloupe, Guyana, Haiti, Jamaica, Martinique, Montserrat, Puerto Rico, Saint Barthélemy, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, Saint Martin, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Sint Maarten, Suriname, Trinidad and Tobago, Turks and Caicos Islands, and United States Virgin Islands.

Operating within the overall framework of the GICR, the IARC Caribbean Regional Hub is a partnership between IARC, the Caribbean Public Health Agency (CARPHA), the United States Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the United States National Cancer Institute (NCI), and the North American Association of Central Cancer Registries (NAACCR).
Each of these organizations supports capacity-building for cancer registration in the region under the GICR.
